Today we are discusing about some Android 4.4 kitkat tips and tricks that i hand picked from some magazines and internet. Google announced the launch of Android 4.4 Kitkat recently. Google Nexus 5 and MotoG came with this OS. So many more devices will get kitkat update soon. Kitkat is a new operating system with new features and specialities. It;s use interface is superb and it looks elegent. Some of the biggest change in kitkat is Google Now, Quick Office integration, large icons and new launcher. Kitkat takes very less memory space than jellybean so it will work good in both large and small devices that have 512 MB Ram. We listed some tips to increase the kitkat capabilities and you can try it out to be a power user :) .

1) Use the integrated Quick Office

Quick Office is the best office suit applicaton for android that includes word processor, spread sheet, presentation
and a pdf reader. Quick office comes pre-installed with Android 4.4 Kitkat devices. So, you didn’t want to download it from Play Store.

2) Know Performance and usage Stats

You can now know the performance and usage stats of all background, foreground and cached processes directly from your kitkat device.
To check this, Go to
Setting > system > Developer options -> process stats

3) Save battery with GPS

GPS have a major role in reducing our device’s battery life. GPS will drink our battery very fast if it turned on. So, users are turning off the GPS to save battery. But, it is not the right way. You can solve this problem in your kitkat device with a simple tweak. It let you choose from between different modes like High Accuracy, Battery saving and device only. You can choose ‘Battery Saving’ mode to increase battery life. It will use Wi-Fi and mobile networks to estimate location.
To select this mode, Go to
Setting > Location > Mode > Battery Saving

4) Remove SMS integration with Google Hangouts App

One of the neater feature of Android 4.4 is the integration of Google Hangouts App with SMS app. It enhances the traditional sms app. So, if you didn’t like to prefer a seperate sms app you can remove it easily. This will help you to remove the sms integration with hangouts app. But, you want to install a third-party application for play store.
To remove Hangout integration, Go to -
Setting > Wireless and Networks > More > Default sms app and choose the new app you installed.

5) Turn on hidden developer options

Google didn’t allow us to see developer options menu in Android Kitkat 4.4. The reason is this option is not useful to non developers and ordinary users.But don’t worry, This simple steps allow you to turn on the hidden options.
To make it visible. Go to -
Setting > System > About Phone > Tap ‘Build Number’ seven (7x) times. Then You can access the developer options :)
