HTC Butterfly S Officially Launches in Taiwan

Johnson City, TN -- HTC hosted a launch event today in Taiwan announcing the latest Butterfly handset model - the HTC Butterfly S. The handset features a 5-inch 1080p display, runs Android Jelly Bean and packs a 1.9GHz quad-core HSPA/WCDMA Snapdragon 600 processor. It comes equipped with a 3,200mAh battery, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage capacity along with an expandable microSD slot. The camera is a 2.1 Ultrapixel camera which is an upgrade from the 8 MP camera in the previous Butterfly model. It offers front-facing speakers similar to the HTC One. The handset is scheduled to launch in Taiwan in July for $766 US. Other reports state it will be available in Singapore in Q3.
